Madrid’s underground has always been a breeding ground for restless creativity, but few bands embody that unpredictable, almost accidental spark quite like FUET!. What started as a casual pandemic project between friends has evolved into unexpected opportunities, and sheer momentum for one of the most compelling hardcore punk acts to emerge from Spain’s current scene. “We’re a quintet from Madrid whose music sits within hardcore punk but mixed in the same cocktail with different genres and influences.” It’s a fitting description for a band that refuses to stay in the one lane.

What began during the pandemic as a low-stakes of ideas between friends – “we just wanted to record three songs, nothing more” – has evolved into one of the most compelling breakout stories in Spain’s alternative scene. For nearly three years, FUET! existed only as a memory. It took an invitation to play a one-off underground show in Madrid to wake them up. “The response from the audience was huge”. Still, they stepped away again, unsure whether to keep going.

Then came the turning point. “Gonzalo signed us up for MadCool Talent”. What followed was unexpected: they advanced through the rounds and ended up as one of six bands selected to perform at the 2024 festival. “The tent filled up and there was a lot of buzz in media, and social networks”. That moment changed everything. “That was when we finally embraced FUET! and started the journey we’re on now.”

Their debut LP, Make it Happen, reflects that exact momentum. The band describes it as “a kind of logbook” that documents how they kept telling themselves, this has to happen, as opportunities kept appearing faster than expected. Originally, they only planned to release another EP to build enough material for the festival. “But the process left us wanting more”, they admit. That hunger naturally grew into a full-length album, released gradually across 2024 and 2025 through singles and videos, each track given its own space to exist.

FUET!’s creative process is as fluid as their sound. “Usually someone brings an idea more or less defined and from there we work on it together”. Guitarists Al and Gonzalo often spark the initial concepts but the final shape is always collective. “Sometimes a song comes almost finished, other times we flip everything around until it works. Each song has its own life.”

Lyrically, the approach is just as organic. “Most of the lyrics and vocal melodies come from Rubén but sometimes the theme appears on its own, and other times we decide it together first.”

Their influences reflect that openness. “We all like everything and we really mean it”. From hardcore staples to unexpected icons, their references stretch across a wide spectrum, feeding into a sound that feels both chaotic and intentional.

On stage, FUET! transforms that energy into something visceral. One of their standout moments came at Tsunami Festival in Gijón, playing a main stage for the first time alongside major acts. But it’s their album release show in Madrid that still hits hardest. “That night, the protagonists weren’t us it was the audience”. The crowd shouted every lyric back with such force that it overwhelmed the band. “It even made us tear up at times. That kind of moment is hard to forget.”

Despite their growing profile, FUET! remains grounded in the wider scene. “Anywhere you go in Spain, you’ll find talent and variety we should be proud of.”

Looking forward, the band is already building what comes next. “We’re working on our second LP, which will come out in 2027”, they confirm. Alongside that, they plan to keep touring and releasing new material. “There are a couple of songs we’ve really wanted to record that will act as a bridge between both albums.”

What started as a casual project has become something far more powerful. FUET! didn’t follow a straight path: they stopped, started, doubted and returned. But maybe that’s exactly why it works. As they put it themselves, the journey has had “many beginnings” but now, there’s no question: we are all in.

FUET!: Caos, comunidad y la creación de “Make It Happen”

Desde el inquieto underground madrileño emerge FUET!, un quinteto que transforma la intuición en algo ruidoso e imposible de ignorar. “Somos un quinteto de Madrid cuya música se engloba dentro del hardcore punk pero mezclado en la misma coctelera con distintos géneros e influencias”.

Lo que comenzó durante la pandemia como una idea sin pretensiones entre amigos “solo queríamos grabar tres temas, sin mayor intención”, ha terminado convirtiéndose en una de las historias más interesantes de la escena alternativa española. Durante casi tres años, FUET! fue poco más que un recuerdo. Hizo falta una invitación a tocar en un festival underground en Madrid para reactivarlos. “La respuesta del público fue mayúscula”. Aun así, volvieron a parar, sin tener claro si debían continuar.

Entonces llegó el punto de inflexión. “Gonzalo nos apuntó al MadCool Talent”, cuentan, todavía con cierto asombro. Lo que vino después fue inesperado: fueron superando rondas hasta convertirse en una de las seis bandas seleccionadas para tocar en la edición de 2024. “La carpa se llenó y hubo mucho eco en medios y redes sociales”. Ese momento lo cambió todo. “Ahí fue cuando abrazamos FUET! y empezamos el viaje en el que estamos ahora”.

Su primer LP, Make it Happen, refleja exactamente ese impulso. La banda lo describe como “una especie de cuaderno de abordo”, un testimonio de cómo se iban repitiendo a sí mismos esto hay que hacerlo mientras las oportunidades llegaban más rápido de lo esperado. En un principio, solo planeaban sacar otro EP para tener repertorio suficiente de cara al festival. “Pero el proceso nos dejó con ganas de más”, admiten. Ese deseo creció de forma natural hasta convertirse en un álbum completo, publicado entre 2024 y 2025 a través de singles y videoclips que permitieron que cada canción tuviera su propio espacio.

El proceso creativo de FUET! es tan flexible como su sonido. “Normalmente alguien trae una idea más o menos definida y a partir de ahí la trabajamos entre todos”. Los guitarristas Al y Gonzalo suelen iniciar esas ideas, pero el resultado final siempre es colectivo. “A veces una canción viene casi hecha, otras le damos la vuelta a todo hasta que funciona. Cada tema tiene su propia vida”.

A nivel lírico, el enfoque es igual de orgánico. “La mayoría de letras y melodías vocales salen de Rubén, pero a veces la temática surge sola y otras la definimos entre todos primero”.

Sus influencias reflejan esa apertura. “A todos nos gusta de todo (y lo decimos de verdad)”, aseguran. Desde referentes del hardcore hasta nombres inesperados, su universo musical es amplio y se filtra en un sonido que resulta tan caótico como intencionado. En directo es donde FUET! alcanza su máxima expresión. Uno de sus momentos más destacados llegó en el Tsunami Festival de Gijón, donde tocaron en un escenario principal por primera vez. Sin embargo, el recuerdo más intenso sigue siendo la presentación del disco en Madrid. “Esa noche los protagonistas no fuimos nosotros, sino el público”, dicen. “Éramos nosotros los que mirábamos al público, no al revés”. La audiencia coreó cada palabra con tal fuerza que desbordó a la banda. “Incluso nos hizo saltar alguna lágrima. Es un momento difícil de olvidar”.

A pesar de su crecimiento, FUET! mantiene los pies en la escena. “Madrid es rica y variada, como siempre lo ha sido”, explican, aunque matizan que no es algo exclusivo de la capital. “Vayas donde vayas en España, encontrarás talento y propuestas de las que debemos estar orgullosos”.

De cara al futuro, el grupo ya tiene la vista puesta en lo siguiente. “Estamos trabajando en nuestro segundo LP, que verá la luz en 2027”. Mientras tanto, seguirán girando y lanzando nuevo material. “Hay un par de canciones que teníamos muchas ganas de grabar y que servirán de puente entre ambos discos”.

Lo que empezó como un proyecto casual se ha convertido en algo mucho más grande. FUET! no ha seguido un camino recto , pero quizá ahí reside su fuerza. Como ellos mismos dicen, su historia ha tenido “muchos comienzos”. Ahora, sin embargo, no hay duda: estamos todos completamente dentro.
