Doc’n Roll Film Festival Dublin returns to the Lighthouse with a stellar lineup of four Irish Premieres this October and November. From the anarchic chaos of Butthole Surfers, the visionary archives of COIL, and Glen Matlock’s punk memoir, to the groundbreaking artistry of Meredith Monk, these films celebrate radical music, uncompromising creativity, and cultural rebellion.

Doc’n Roll Film Festival – hailed by Time Out as “the Glastonbury of music movie fests” – returns to Dublin for its third edition, bringing a powerhouse lineup of Irish premieres to the Lighthouse Cinema this autumn. Running from 18 October to 20 November 2025, the festival celebrates artists who defy convention and redefine creativity.
This year’s programme features exclusive Irish premieres spotlighting music’s pioneers and cultural icons, from the anarchic punk of Butthole Surfers to the avant-garde brilliance of Meredith Monk.
“This year’s programme reflects our DIY spirit and our commitment to giving a platform to charismatic, compelling, unforgettable talents outside the mainstream,” says Colm Forde, programmer and co-founder of Doc’n Roll Film Fest. “We’re thrilled to showcase filmmakers and musicians whose bold creativity aligns with our ethos.”
